I thought I might ask this question for those that might be interested in doing puppet shows in the future. Do you have to carry liability insurance when doing a puppet shows at different venues. If so what type do you get and what does it cover.

It is not how good of a puppet builder you are. It is are you the best that you can be.

We do have a liability shield for touring.  The school system here in Charlotte requires that you have a liability shield in order for you to perform on any school campus.  I'm not sure about what is covers, though, but I can ask Drew.  (He's actually touring in Maine right now!)

Hello SS Puppets,
Most of the places that we do presentations for are senior retirement living centers. We have a "performance agreement" form that we have the activity director sign for us and we keep it on file. This form protects us form being held responsible for any on site injuries of their residents being hurt by any of our equipment. (part of their enjoyment is watching us set up and take down our puppet theater!)
